A Little Like Can go a long way

Don’t be afraid to let go

Of your beautiful, breathless sigh.

I will not let you fall.

I will not let you die.

I am your lifeline,

The one you try to sever;

I am the wish-granting shadow,

Helping you live forever.

Just look me in the eyes

And tell me your tale,

For this is what I feed on,

You are my grail.

You give birth to me

And I bring eternity to you.

It’s a wonderful exchange;

Like how the ocean thanks the sky for blue.

So please let go,

I will not let you fall.

I am your safety net,

You just cannot see me,

that is all.
