Outside,
Looking in,
You sit,
Listening to the laughs of many;
Chasing rainbows,
Floating past,
In a breeze that carries with it cut grass,
In December.
Children on leads,
Dogs on the run,
A group of shoulder-shakers having fun.
Santa hats,
And picnic mats,
Kites in blue;
A technicolour ball,
And a language you wish you knew.
Outside,
You’re looking in,
To a world that’s hidden,
And that’s fine with you.
