Because of you, Mosquito…
Because of you, Mosquito…
White papaya seeds
patiently waiting, revealed—
squinting in the sun… cont:
The flag in the wind
never ceases to amaze
those that really see.
The past melted his face.
He’s sitting next to the magazines,
with their perfect, blotch-free faces;
but theirs don’t tell a story
like his; (cont)
I never know how much I need you
until we’re apart;
with you, everything I see
turns into an ode to life… cont
The wind blows the flag,
only to find resistance.
(I, flag, blow the wind.)
They try and capture
the magic through their gadgets—
in a flash it’s gone.
The dog is missing—
it is somewhere, ignoring
its mum’s worried calls.
The fly on the page
walks across the word Away,
and then off it goes.
The budding tree proves
how easy it really is
to express ourselves… continued
